Stephen Fry was born in London in 1957 and educated at Stout’s Hill, Uppingham and Queens’ College, Cambridge. At Cambridge he joined the Footlights where he first met Hugh Laurie. He has numerous television appearances to his credit, most notably A Bit of Fry and Laurie, Jeeves and Wooster, Blackadder and QI, and is a regular contributor to radio shows including Just a Minute, I’m Sorry I Haven’t a Clue and The News Quiz. Major film roles include Peter in Peter’s Friends (1990) and Oscar Wilde in Wilde (1997).

He is the author of the best-selling novels The Liar, The Hippopotamus, Making History and The Stars’ Tennis Balls, as well as the highly acclaimed autobiography Moab is my Washpot and, in 2005, a well-received guide to writing poetry, The Ode Less Travelled. The second and third instalments of his autobiography, The Fry Chronicles and More Fool Me, were both bestsellers. His most recent books are the bestselling Mythos and Heroes – unique retellings of the Greek myths.

Liza Richardson’s career as a radio broadcaster started in Dallas, TX at KNON then KERA. At NPR’s flagship KCRW in Santa Monica, CA, she championed poetry, world music and eclectic sounds from every corner of the universe. Her curated mixtapes present international music, roots, dance, hip hop and jazz, and are on-demand via her Spotify profile. 

Along with her team at Mad Doll Music, Liza has music supervised small screen classics like Friday Night Lights, Parenthood, Leftovers, Watchmen, Hawaii Five-0 and Lovecraft Country. Currently she helms Narcos, Barry, Outer Banks, The Morning Show, The Rookie, Equalizer. In 2003, she was nominated for a Grammy for Y Tu Mama Tambien and 2020 brought an Emmy nod for her work on Watchmen. 

Liza’s credits include the first handful of iPod silhouette spots, films Spenser Confidential, Why Him, A Dog’s Purpose, Lords of Dogtown, Surf’s Up, The Kids Are All Right and quintessential Mexican gem Y Tu Mama Tambien.

Steve King is a photographer, and educator living in Los Angeles California.  His work is focused on modern and contemporary architecture and design.  While most of his work is from the Southern California region, he has also worked and photographed worldwide, most notably in Norway.   His work has been widely published in the architectural press and he has been included in many books including the recent “Hollywood Modern” by Michael Stern and Alan Hess. He has received AIA awards for his photography of Nakahouse by XTEN Architecture and in 2017, he won 2  “Architectural Photography Awards”  from  the Los Angeles chapter of the AIA. Steve received a Bachelors degree in Economics from Oregon State University in 1986, and a Master of Fine Arts degree from CSU Fullerton in 1990, and has been teaching photography, art, and design courses at the university level since 1990.

Rick Corsini’s practice specializes in solving complex problems where contextual relevance and functionality are prerequisites for good design. Whether at the scale of a campus master plan, a new building or a logo for a new restaurant, Rick and his team view the experience of architecture as a fluid, integrated whole, striving to seamlessly integrate building and site, form and space, light and material, style and use. Rick was born in Los Angeles and received his Master of Architecture in Urban Design from Harvard University and his Bachelor of Architecture from Cal Poly Pomona. In addition to over 25 years of professional practice, Rick has held faculty appointments at schools of architecture including Cal Poly Pomona, Woodbury University, and the University of Southern California. He serves on the board of Silver Lake Forward, a community-based non-profit organization and is a past president of the Los Angeles Forum for Architecture and Urban Design.

Timur Bekmambetov is a Kazakh-Russian film director known for vampire franchise Night Watch (2004) and Day Watch (2006).

He was born Timur Nuruakhitovich Bekmambetov on June 25, 1961, in Guryev, Soviet Union (now Atyrau, Kazakhstan). His father, Nuruakhit Bekmambetov, is a manager at Guryev Energy company; his mother, Mira Bogoslavskaya, was a journalist. Young Bekmambetov was raised along the Ural river in Kazakhstan, Soviet Union.

In 1978, aged 17, he moved to Moscow. There from 1978 to 1980 he attended the Moscow Energy Institute, but he was more interested in art and movies. Eventually, he dropped out of college, and joined the cultural milieu around such artists as Anatoli Zverev and Oskar Rabin. Then, from 1982 to 1987 he studied painting at Tashkent Theatrical Art Institute, graduating in 1987 as artist of theatre and film. From 1987 to 1988 he served in the Red Army stationed at artillery division near Ashkhabad, Turkmenistan. Then he worked as set designer at “Ilkhom” Drama Theatre in Tashkent, and at Uzbek Film Studio.

Since 1989 he has been directing commercials. In 1992 Bekmambetov made his directorial and writing debut with Peshawar Waltz (1994), a film about the Soviet war in Afghanistan which received awards at several festivals in Europe. From 1992 to 1997 he made 18 commercials for the Russian bank “Imperial” and was named best young director of 1997 by Russian Film Academy. In 1999 he started his own film company, Bazelevs Production.

His big break came with the success of the vampire franchise Night Watch (2004) and Day Watch (2006), which he directed during 2003 – 2005. Both films became international blockbusters, and received several awards and nominations. The third installment, Twilight Watch (2009), is slated for release in 2009.

Since 2005, Bekmambetov has been working in Hollywood, writing, directing and producing several flicks, such as Wanted (2008), 9 (2009), and The Red Star. Back in Russia, he made another success directingThe Irony of Fate 2 (2007), a romantic comedy based on the Soviet era characters and capitalizing on nostalgia among some of the post-Soviet audiences.

Timur Bekmambetov established himself as a master of dense narrative. His films often surprise the viewers with eerie details, hectic pace and unusual twists and turns, and remain a challenge even for experienced audiences.
